Our playhouses get a beautiful golden brown spray treatment before leaving the factory in order to preserve the quality of the wood. As this only lasts through the transit stage, we do recommend treating the wood after installation to protect it.

Our durable playhouses are built with tongue and groove sections — including the roof and floor — for extreme strength and durability. The T&G feature also makes each part of the wooden playhouse easy to attach, allowing a tight fit between them.

Tongue and groove construction also provides our playhouses with excellent weather protection. Interlocking panels ensure that water cannot infiltrate the structure, protecting its parts from corrosion.

Aside from their wooden assembly, our children’s playhouses also come with premium mineral felt roofs. It provides superior protection and durability to these outdoor structures’ roofs.

The door style depends on whether you opt for a slide or tower only.

If you choose a tower only, your playhouse will come with a split stable style door where the top and bottom can be opened separately.

If you choose a tower with a slide, the playhouse will come with swinging saloon style doors.

Our playhouses are not designed for children aged under 36 months as there are many small parts, which may be a potential choking hazard. Furthermore, there is often a maximum user weight of 50kg when tower playhouses and two-story playhouses are concerned. We also recommend keeping the playhouses a minimum of 2m clear from any obstructions or other structures.

Whilst our playhouses are delivered undecorated with the natural wooden surface, encourage your little ones to paint and splash some of their favourite colours so that they can have a colourful play den. There are so many ways to make your little ones’ playpen more homely and colourful looking. A variety of colours can be purchased as an optional extra with your playhouse.

Yes! All our playhouses come with a floor and roof as standard. Our standard roof option is the 11mm Tongue and Groove. This interlocking roof provides a reliable covering for any building. The Tongue and Groove not only gives your building a stronger roof but more premium look and feel. Our Standard 11mm flooring option which provides a durable and provides a solid foundation and underfoot to the building. The 11mm option is ideal for less demanding and frequent usage, suitable for lighter intensity purposes like summer houses and other living spaces containing light furniture. The 11mm tongue and groove timber makes this a solid yet suitable, economic option. Our playhouses also come with premium mineral felt roofs. It provides superior protection and durability to these outdoor structures’ roofs.

Our playhouses use shatter-resistant plastic (SAN). SAN is used for its UV properties and the tougher finish avoids breakages, when compared to the properties of glass shattering.

We recommend adult monitoring whenever a playhouse is used. However, it may be of reassurance to learn that our playhouses are safety tested to British Standards BS-EN71 for domestic use.

If the building is shorter than 2.5m tall you should not require planning permission, (unless it’s more than 50% of your garden or to be put in your front garden). Planning permission rules can vary by area so we would strongly recommend checking your local council rules before ordering from us.

We do not offer an installation service on any of our buildings, our buildings are designed & made to be easy and simple to assemble. Using the assembly instruction included and with a team of just 2 people and a bit of DIY knowledge you can expect to have your BillyOh building up within a day, or as little as 3-4 hours with some of our smaller buildings.

Our playhouses are delivered in easy to assemble panels. For your convenience, the panels are no wider than 4ft so they can be easily manoeuvrable and fit through a standard doorway.
