Untreated: Our log boards can be delivered to you as untreated allowing you to enjoy the rustic and traditional aesthetic of a log cabin. Not only does this provide you with a lodge appearance, but allows you to decide the treatment type and colour which suits your tastes.
Pressure Treated: For a more protected building, you can opt for a pressure treated building which is an effective way of keeping the building long lasting. This is an extra step in the construction process where the wood is treated in a pressurised tank. Chemical preservatives are forced deep into the wood’s fibres to resist rot, decay and termites.
Cladding Thickness: We have a selection of different cladding options from the list below available on our buildings.
28mm - Solid profiles Single T&G for strength and durability. Great for medium to large buildings ideal for seasonal use.
44mm - Thick profiles Double T&G Profile for additional strength and durability. Great for large buildings intended for all year round use.
We offer a range of roofing and flooring options, so depending on how you’re going to use your log cabin, you can choose the better option for you.
Roof:
11mm: Our standard roof option, this interlocking roof provides a reliable covering for any building. The Tongue and Groove not only gives your building a stronger roof but more premium look and feel.
Floor:
11mm: Our Standard flooring option which provides a durable and provides a solid foundation and underfoot to the building. The 11mm option is ideal for less demanding and frequent usage, suitable for lighter intensity purposes like summer houses and other living spaces containing light furniture. The 11mm tongue and groove timber makes this a solid yet suitable, economic option.
19mm: A premium floor is the perfect choice for higher intensity usage. The construction uses thick 19mm tongue and groove timber, which gives you not only the strength, but better insulation against the cold weather. This specific floor is the perfect option if you’re planning on using the building as an everyday use office, gym or workshop with heavy objects.
Roof covering: Depending on the type of building, we offer a variety of roof coverings to protect the roof from harsh weather conditions and water damage.
Mineral felt: Quick and easy to apply, Mineral felt is durable and protects the building against the elements. The mineral felt is also more durable than traditional sand felt, meaning that it does not need to be regularly replaced, making it a long term, cost effective option.
Shingles: Our Premium heavy-duty shingles, available in a selection of green, red, grey or black. These are thicker than our standard option, providing the building with extra durability and value, as well as adding style. Our roofing shingles are UV resistant, water-proof, carry an SAA fire rating and are very long-lasting. Shingles come in the form of:
Roll on shingles are designed to mimic the look of traditional shingles with a tiled pattern printed on them. Supplied in a roll, they are quick and easy to apply.
Shingles Plus Eaves Cappings are an affordable and durable method of felting your roof whilst providing extra protection and longevity. Our shingles are supplied in metre long strips to be installed to the roof, ensuring you are able to install your shingles as efficiently as possible.
Single Glazing: Crafted from shatter-resistant plastic (SAN) and suitable for seasonal use. SAN is used for its UV properties and the tougher finish avoids breakages, when compared to the properties of glass shattering. Single glazing is the perfect choice for seasonal buildings such as summerhouses and sheds providing plenty of natural light into the building.
Double Glazing: Created from toughened glass, the double glazing is the ideal option for a building which is used all year round. The extra thickness will provide better insulation and keep your building warmer in those colder months of the year.
Georgian: The beamed Georgian style windows provide a traditional, vintage British finish to your garden.
Modern: The Modern, simplistic style windows give your cabin a contemporary style. Both window options are exactly the same dimensions, so whichever you choose you’ll have plenty of sun shining through, lighting up your cabin beautifully.
Cladding Thickness: We have a selection of different cladding options from the list below available on our buildings.
19mm - Solid profiles Single T&G for strength and durability. Great for small to medium buildings with seasonal use in mind.
28mm - Solid profiles single T&G Profile for additional strength and durability. Great for medium to large buildings ideal for seasonal use.
If the building is shorter than 2.5m tall you should not require planning permission, (unless it’s more than 50% of your garden or to be put in your front garden). Planning permission rules can vary by area so we would strongly recommend checking your local council rules before ordering from us.
We do not offer an installation service on any of our buildings, our buildings are designed & made to be easy and simple to assemble. Using the assembly instruction included and with a team of just 2 people and a bit of DIY knowledge you can expect to have your BillyOh building up within a day, or as little as 3-4 hours with some of our smaller buildings.
Our summerhouses and shed are delivered in easy to assemble panels. For your convenience the panels are no wider than 4ft so they can be easily maneuverable and fit through a standard doorway. Our Log Cabins arrive as individual boards that are designed to slot together.
