If you really want to take advantage of your outdoor space, you might want to think about installing a garden log cabin. Modern log cabins are a far cry from the rough-and-ready outhouses they inherited their name from; the garden sheds we stock are comfortable and spacious, enough for everything from garden storage to setting up a garden office.
Here at Garden Buildings Direct, we stock a wide range of apex sheds and pent sheds, all pressure treated for maximum durability. Our bespoke log cabins are suitable to be used as bike sheds, garden furniture storage or an outdoor workshop. More than just a regular garden shed, our garden log cabins will be the talk of your neighbourhood.
Each cabin is built with durable tongue and groove panel fittings, ensuring our products can withstand whatever life can throw at them. The wooden boards are 11mm thick and interlock together, to provide a smooth, long-lasting strong finish. This finish also provides the best possible weather protection, as water runs off the edge and cannot damage any of the joints. This makes storage ideal when storing items you don’t want to get wet. Use our wooden sheds as a tool shed, bike storage or for garden storage.
Our products come in two different roof styles: either a pent shed or an apex shed. A pent roof is suited to those wanting a more contemporary log cabin, whereas an apex is ideal for those wanting to keep their log cabin traditional.
Apex sheds are appropriate if you intend to be spending a lot of time inside of the garden shed for DIY projects, as well as to store large tools along the wall. This is because the highest roof point will give you ample headroom to allow you to move around freely. An apex shed is an ideal basis for a garden office or summer house to extend your living space and increase the value of your property.
However, if you’re simply using your shed for garden storage, perhaps as a log store, a pent shed may be better. This is as you will only need space to manoeuvre when entering and exiting the building. It also means you’re creating a less obstructed view in your garden.
What you use your garden shed for should inform the kind of product you’re looking for. If you hope to use the space as a summer house or garden office - a place where you and the family might spend a lot of time - consider double glazing for the windows. Equally, if it’s just there to store your tools, they might not mind single glazing.
Both styles come fitted with wide opening double doors for ease of access. Double doors also maintain that traditional log cabin feel, making for a great aesthetic addition to your garden shed.
If you’ve fallen in love with the idea of a corner log cabin or another kind of garden shed, have a talk to our customer service team. We can help get you the right product and help you through our free and fast delivery process. Bear in mind: depending on your living situation and the size of your garden log cabin, you may need to request planning permission from the local council or talk to your neighbours.
Whatever your requirements, we’re sure we can find the perfect garden log cabin for you.
